PROUD PARTNER OF BROME-MISSISQUOI MENTORING FOR ENTREPRENEURS
ROCHELEAU CHEVROLET BUICK GMC, proud partner of Brome-Missisquoi Mentoring for Entrepreneurs
Rocheleau Chevrolet Buick GMC is proud to offer financial support to the CLD Mentoring Unit in Brome-Missisquoi and become a major partner for the coming year. Co-owners of the car dealership, Dominique and Pamela Rocheleau, joined a few members of the Mentoring Cell Committee to give them a check in the amount of $ 5,000. This important contribution will allow the continuation of the mentoring activities and the outreach of the service through Brome-Missisquoi. Rocheleau believes in the importance of mentoring in the economic development of our region and encourages all entrepreneurs to benefit from the mentoring of a mentor.
In 2017, the Brome-Missisquoi Mentoring Group for Entrepreneurs has 32 mentors who, over the course of the year, supported 50 entrepreneurs in all spheres of economic activity. The Mentoring service, offered in both languages, continues to gain popularity and notoriety: for the past 15 years, 73 men and women businessmen have been involved as mentors, sharing more than 264 twinnings that have allowed to consolidate more than 1,500 jobs throughout the territory. Companies have a much greater chance of success when entrepreneurs are accompanied by a mentor. In rural areas, the importance of this service is even greater given the isolation experienced by many entrepreneurs, especially since a majority of these entrepreneurs are self-employed or microenterprises. The Brome-Missisquoi Mentoring Unit for Entrepreneurs is a good example of community mobilization around development issues.
